If I fill in the application form to sell online with notonthehighstreet.com, am I obligated to join?

Not at all; completing the form gives us the opportunity to hear more about your business and to give you the appropriate information about working with us.

Can you tell me what the membership cost is to become a seller?
answer
We offer a range of lifetime membership packages. As we review each application individually and match a package most appropriate to your business, we are unable to give out further details without a successful application. Please fill in the application form and we will be in touch.

Do I have to pay an annual membership renewal fee or listing fees?
answer
No, we have a one-off joining fee to sell with us, and no charges to list products.

Can you review my application without photographs of my products?
answer
No, you will need to provide images of the products you would like to sell, either by giving us a website address where your photographs can be found, this can be a link to an online photo sharing application such as Flickr (other applications are available).

Do I need professional images of my products to be accepted?
answer
No. Please bear in mind, however, that we find clear, well lit photography maximises sales for our Partners. In our experience, images of products on mannequins or with black backgrounds do not work as well.

What do you mean by ‘lifestyle photography’?
answer
We have found that items shown in the setting in which a customer might use them can make a positive difference to sales. For example, if you are selling an item of clothing, photograph the item on a person rather than on a mannequin; if you are selling a print, photograph it framed and on a mantelpiece or hanging on a wall.

What if I have applied before?
answer
If you have new products or updated photography, please do get back in touch with us. There is no need to fill in the application form again as we will have your details on record.

Can I apply if I offer services rather than products?
answer
Currently we do not accept applications from businesses who offer services such as photography. However, we would love to receive your application form if you have a product range you would like to sell with us.

Do I fill in the application form if I want to be part of your affiliate scheme?
answer
No, you need to visit www.notonthehighstreet.com/join/affiliates and use the form located on this page instead.

I am not a UK-based business, can I still join?
answer
Not currently. However, as notonthehighstreet.com continues to grow we plan to expand our Partner community to include international sellers. If you would like to be notified when applications from international businesses are open, please register your interest here.

Why have I not heard from you in response to my application?
answer
There could be several reasons for this:
- Have you applied to sell with us by filling in this online application form?
- Have we received images of your products either through your website, a photo sharing website or as attachments to the email you will have received on application?
- Has it been over 7 days since you sent us your product photography?
- Have you ensured that your email spam and junk filters recognise notonthehighstreet.com as a safe contact so you can receive our email response?
