Our simple yet stylish classic leather collars combine a timeless design with beautiful British craftsmanship.

Smart enough for a special occasion but also hardwearing enough for everyday, our classic collars are extremely popular with customers searching for a conventional dog collar amongst all the sparkles that are available these days. That being said, we know that choosing a traditional style doesn't necessarily mean that you also want a traditional colour. Therefore we offer a choice of colours [see colour notes], in a variety of widths, allowing you to create the exact collar you desire.

* Choice of 13 colours [As shown in the pictures from left to right]:

Traditional colours: Black, Brown, Tan, Forest Green, Red, Dark Red. Contemporary colours: Purple, Lilac, Royal blue, Baby blue, Fuchsia pink, Baby pink, White.

Please note: Traditional coloured leathers are dyed all the way through whereas contemporary coloured leathers have a layer of colour applied to the surface of the hide. All of our collars withstand the elements and the test of time extremely well but due to the way they are produced, contemporary colours may start to show their age slightly sooner than the traditional ones.

Red Collars: Every red collar is treated with a resoline sealing agent to combat the problem of colour bleeding. However, very occasionally we receive feedback citing this problem. Red collars are very popular and the number reported to have bled is a tiny percentage of those sold but please be advised of this, especially if your dog is light in colour.

These flat leather dog collars are cut from high quality shoulder hide and coupled with strong chromed steel or brass fittings. Each collar is hand stitched around the buckle and fittings.

Please note: The contemporary coloured hides are slightly thinner than the traditional coloured hides and therefore, contemporary collars chosen in widths of 1 inch and above are back onto a soft leather for increased strength.

Selecting the correct length: IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ.

Please choose the EXACT CIRCUMFERENCE of your dog's neck NOT the total length of the collar you require. Approximately 4 inches will be added to the measurement selected, by us, to accommodate the overlap of the collar. For example: If you choose a 15” neck measurement, the total length of the collar will be 19”.

All of our collars are handmade by me, Ann Rees, to your exact requirements when we receive your order. We do not hold stock. With this in mind, please take extra special care when choosing the length you require as replacing a collar which has been incorrectly measured essentially leaves us with a collar we may not be able to resell.
